Uitnodiging: Ruimtekoers Langste-Nacht-Borrel & Bureau Ruimtekoers 5 jaar!

donderdag 17 december 16:30 uur Café Bosch

Kom samen oude en nieuwe verbindingen vieren!

Lieve Ruimtekoersfan,

Mo & Kush Band

Mo and Kush Band bring a unique and superbly danceable sound, with groovy rhythms and engaging lyrics. The energy of the band engages with the audience to make every concert a celebration of togetherness and joy.

Leader of the band is Mo Ahmed: singer, composer and percussionist born in Omdurman, Sudan. Since moving to the Netherlands, he has become the driving force behind Mo & Kush Band, blending the sounds of Sudan with afrobeat, reggae and blues influences.

In 2023, the band released its debut album Sudangali, a powerful collection that carried the voice of Sudan’s struggles and resilience.

Their second album Asmar (released september 2025) marks an important new chapter. Recorded in Egypt with musicians from the Sudanese diaspora, it celebrates the unique musical heritage of Sudan. The songs are rooted in Sudanese traditionals, reimagined and rearranged by Mo Ahmed with fresh energy and a contemporary sound. By weaving the languages and musical traditions of different Sudanese tribes into one shared message, the album becomes a cultural bridge and a collective voice for hope. With Asmar, Mo Ahmed continues his mission: to honor and preserve the music of his homeland, share its beauty with the world, and keep alive the dream of a united, peaceful Sudan.

Mo Ahmed performs with Kush Band, a formation of 5-7 musicians, but also solo or with smaller set.
