Biborder

Hamid is a crossover musician with Iranian roots. In his hometown of Tehran, he immersed himself in early blues on slide guitar and harmonica, developing his own, typical Persian blues sound. In the Netherlands he graduated from the conservatory in Indian classical music on Indian slide guitar. Under the name Biborder, he surprisingly combines influences from Persian music with Indian ragas and Delta blues during his performances — a unique musical experience that you don’t want to miss.

This event is organized by and for the residents of the Rijnkade.

About the performance: Singer Giovanca presents her ideal music evening with Phion with Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, among others.

This special evening focuses on Giovanca and her love for music. She talks about what music means to her and how it gives meaning to her life, even as a religious person. With Phion conducted by Rolf Verbeek, she also shows the music she cherishes. One of those works is an instrumental selection that Gershwin compiled from Porgy and Bess.
