Luistersalon x Verre binding: First Love
Listening to music together is a powerful way to bring people together. The Luistersalon is an informal gathering where people listen to songs together and share the stories behind them. The theme of this session is First Love.

Time: 7:30 pm arrival / 8:00 – 9:30 pm programme
Location: Werfpaviljoen Stadsblokkenwerf. Stadsblokkenweg 51, Arnhem.

The Luistersalon
The Luistersalon is a unique concept by Reinier Göritzlehner, where music, personal stories and connection are central. During a Luistersalon, people (often strangers to each other) come together to listen to each other’s chosen music, based on a set theme.
Ferry
Between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM, the ferry operates from the ship De Meteoor, located on the Rijnkade, to the Werfpaviljoen. The 7:45 PM crossing is generally the last departure before the start of the program.
A useful landmark is the large crane on the Rijnkade. The ferry departs from right next to it.

The Werfpaviljoen is open throughout the season from Thursday to Sunday, from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

The music council of Verre binding proudly presents its second evening at Luxor Live. Expect an evening full of stories and music, told and played by Arnhemmers from here and far.
Listening together
Cliché but true: music is the universal language that connects us all. By really listening to each other’s favorite songs and the stories that go with them, we get to know each other in a deeper way. This evening, fantastic musicians from here and far will share their musical story.
Yan Lâle
Yan Lâle combines psychedelic rock with musical influences from the Middle East. The sound of the Amsterdam project can be described as boundless. By mixing the different cultures and musical backgrounds of the band members, they take the audience to alien worlds.

On Saturday, June 20, residents of azc Elderhoeve will open their doors to people from Arnhem and beyond for the fourth edition of the Verre binding Cultural Festival. Let us harvest what connects us. Welcome to the Garden of Life! Will you join us?
Harvesting what connects us
While refugees are often talked about at discussion tables and talk shows, the residents of Elderhoeve azc are opening their doors instead. They invite people from Arnhem and beyond to enjoy a day filled with music, dance, and workshops in the Garden of Life. A place to meet, listen to one another, and create new memories together. A special opportunity to harvest what connects us.
What can you expect?
Listen to inspiring stories, dance together to music, sample dishes from different cuisines, and take part in a variety of workshops. We do not close borders; instead, we welcome everyone with open arms to experience, connect, and discover. There will also be a continuous program of activities for children throughout the day. We hope to see you there!

About the performance: Ignite
Featuring five exceptionally explosive dancers, Ignite is a thrilling and award-winning theater experience that leaves you full of energy.
Energy is everything. Your muscles tensing, the air you breathe, the tingling sensation just above your skin. Tiny electric shocks shoot through your brain, screaming at your body to run. You can’t even help it anymore; the match is lit, there is no turning back. Standing still is impossible; everything is energy.
Shailesh Bahoran
Shailesh Bahoran is a Surinamese-Hindustani choreographer, dancer, and theater maker. With deep roots in hip-hop culture, he has specialized both as a solo artist and with his IRC in the street-born dance styles of popping and breaking.
Meet Arnhemmers from near and far at Musis & Stadstheater Arnhem
Especially for Verre binding, Musis & Stadstheater and the platform for connection Buddy to Buddy are organizing a supporting program, in which Arnhemmers from here and residents or former residents of Arnhem asylum seekers’ centers meet and exchange each other, and then experience the performance together. We invite you to share a piece of music that is dear to you. You tell us the why/how/what, and we listen in silence to your story and music. The theme of this session is A New Beginning. Prepare by thinking of a song that symbolizes this and bring it to the meeting on your phone.

Inspired by your favorite artists, you will learn about vocal technique, the connection between emotion and voice, performing, and telling your own story through an existing song. These workshops are open to beginners, but you are also welcome if you have singing experience.
