Listening to music together is a powerful way to bring people together. The Luistersalon is an informal gathering where people listen to songs together and share the stories behind them.
We invite you to share a piece of music that is dear to you. You tell us the why/how/what, and we listen in silence to your story and music. The theme of this session is A New Beginning. Prepare by thinking of a song that symbolizes this and bring it to the meeting on your phone.

The Luistersalon
The Luistersalon is a unique concept by Reinier Göritzlehner where music, personal stories, and connection take center stage. During a Luistersalon, people (often strangers to one another) come together to listen to each other’s music based on a set theme.

Tell your story with a song
During these workshops, you will work in a small group on your own song in a musical style of your choice. Inspired by your favorite artists, you will learn about vocal technique, the connection between emotion and voice, performing, and telling your own story through an existing song. These workshops are open to beginners, but you are also welcome if you have singing experience.
No registration required; just drop by the Auditorium on the 5th floor of Rozet

About the performance: Great Catch #3
With House of Circus, Knot on Hands and Fenja Barteldres
A fresh look at circus, a genre that is constantly pushing the boundaries of what it can be.
The surprising circus program Great Catch presents a new generation of makers. The Circus Coalition has selected three short performances in which the boundaries of circus are explored with guts, originality and innovation. House of Circus brings an explosive mix of circus and drag, full of glitter and humor. Knot on Hands plays with the (im)possibilities of partner acrobatics and creates a hypnotic movement language in Brace for Impact. With a Cyrwheel without screws, Fenja Barteldres transforms the round ring into a completely new device.
Great Catch invites you to discover the many faces of the circus. Catch it if you can!
Meet Arnhemmers from near and far at Musis & Stadstheater Arnhem
Especially for Verre binding, Musis & Stadstheater and the platform for connection Buddy to Buddy are organizing a supporting program, in which Arnhemmers from here and residents or former residents of Arnhem asylum seekers’ centers meet and exchange each other, and then experience the performance together. The music council of Verre binding proudly presents its second evening at Luxor Live. Expect an evening full of stories and music, told and played by Arnhemmers from here and far.
Listening together
Cliché but true: music is the universal language that connects us all. By really listening to each other’s favorite songs and the stories that go with them, we get to know each other in a deeper way. This evening, fantastic musicians from here and far will share their musical story.
Yan Lâle
Yan Lâle combines psychedelic rock with musical influences from the Middle East. The sound of the Amsterdam project can be described as boundless. By mixing the different cultures and musical backgrounds of the band members, they take the audience to alien worlds.

About the performance: Amsterdam Klezmer Band
All over the world, the recognizable sounds of klezmer can be heard, the compelling music that has always traveled with the Jewish people.
The world-renowned Amsterdam Klezmer Band plays the beautiful melodies that inspired the band members. And entirely in the spirit of the Klezmorim, the musicians of yesteryear who continued to renew the tradition with new repertoire, the band also lets you enjoy new work of their own.
In traditional pieces, original compositions and fascinating asides, the band once again proves that it has one foot in tradition, the other foot in the present, and both feet on the ground.
