Immerse yourself in an evening of dance, film, and conversation, dedicated to the origins and meaning of Funk. ‘On the one’ is a phrase often used in funk music to describe a tight and syncopated rhythm that emphasizes the first beat of each bar. Especially for Verre binding, Musis & Stadstheater and the platform for connection Buddy to Buddy are organizing a supporting program, in which Arnhemmers from here and residents or former residents of Arnhem asylum seekers’ centers meet and exchange each other, and then experience the performance together. After the performance, there is also room for further exchange.
