Verre binding and Khattar Shaheen present: Unfolding stories
You are most welcome to join us in celebrating the conclusion of the third Verre binding Residency: Join the Artist.
Over the past two months, artist Khattar Shaheen worked with Arnhem locals from near and far on the project: Unfolding stories. Every Wednesday, people gathered at Rozet to draw, share, and talk. During the presentation, we will share this process and the results with a small audience.
You are welcome to come and see, listen, and experience it for yourself!
About the artist
Khattar Shaheen (1993) is a visual artist from Studio Khattar, born in Syria and currently based in the Netherlands. In his work, he explores how personal memories, imagination, and the here and now can come together in images. He works with various media, such as drawing, charcoal, animation, and storytelling, using these forms to make feelings, thoughts, and small moments from daily life visible.
In times of uncertainty, Khattar explores what happens when people don’t start by talking, but by creating. The thoughts, small moments, and gentle memories that emerged during the encounters with the participants form the beginning of a new stop-motion film.
Program
The presentation is from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. We will meet at A Beautiful Mess. It is free and no registration is required.
Will we see you on Wednesday, May 27?
The Verre binding Residency: Join the Artist is part of Verre binding and is included in the programming of CONNECT Arnhem.![]()
